I feel the same about 老外来了 as I do the BBC's Chuckle Brothers: I don't find them funny, but I respect their “craft”.
That’s not quite true, I laughed at the language misunderstandings … but that was only a smug titter - a pat on the back for knowing the correct tones! Pathetic.
